Greetings from Rho Psi Omega Chapter!

Renae Sanders -- President for home page

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has built a legacy of service and change that has permeated African American culture since 1908. The Rho Psi Omega Chapter, established in 1989, works to fulfill the organization’s mission through creative program initiatives, community engagement, and community partnership.

The program initiatives, developed by our  International President, Attorney Carolyn House Stewart, address challenges related to social justice, human rights, health, poverty, economic security, and environmental sustainability. We support our organization’s membership goals by hosting activities and events that allow our members to connect with and build relationships with new and returning members to the organization.

The work of the Rho Psi Omega Chapter extends beyond the immediate Charlotte area as well. In addition to supporting Second Harvest Food Bank, we are avid contributors to Heifer International in the fight against hunger. By liking our Facebook page and following us on Twitter, the community participates in making the world safer and healthier for all by remaining abreast of our efforts to fight cancer, heart disease, hunger, asthma, and diabetes.

Each member of the Rho Psi Omega Chapter shares a commitment to being of service to all mankind. We dedicate our time, talent, and resources to tackle problems concerning girls and women. While we are proud of the work we do in the community, we recognize that these remain challenging times for many families. Therefore, we remain committed to the ideals and purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and look forward to the opportunity to improve the lives of our neighbors.

If you have questions, feel free to  contact us.
